Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Mabamba Swamp
 
  • Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by our guide. After a short briefing, head to Mabamba Swamp—a top site for the rare Shoebill Stork. Enjoy a canoe birding experience through the papyrus channels.
    Overnight: Entebbe
Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
 
  • Depart early for Kibale Forest, home to over 370 bird species including the Green-breasted Pitta and African Grey Parrot. En route, enjoy scenic views of tea plantations and possible birding stopovers.
    Overnight: Kibale / Fort Portal area
Day 3: Birding in Bigodi Wetland & Kibale Forest
 
  • Begin your day with a guided birding walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, known for species like the Papyrus Gonolek, Great Blue Turaco, and White-spotted Flufftail. In the afternoon, explore the forest trails in search of forest-dwelling birds and primates.
    Overnight: Kibale / Fort Portal
Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
 
  • Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, birding along the way. Enjoy a game drive in the afternoon for sightings of Martial Eagles, Black-bellied Bustards, and other savannah species.
    Overnight: Inside or near Queen Elizabeth NP
Day 5: Birding & Boat Cruise on Kazinga Channel
 
  • Go for a morning birding session in the park’s Mweya Peninsula and Kasenyi plains. Later, take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, famous for waterbirds like African Skimmers, Pelicans, and Cormorants.
    Overnight: Queen Elizabeth NP
Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (Buhoma)
 
  • Drive to Bwindi, a globally recognized Important Birding Area (IBA) with over 350 species, including 23 Albertine Rift endemics. Birding en route and upon arrival around the Buhoma sector.
    Overnight: Bwindi (Buhoma sector)
Day 7: Full-Day Birding in Bwindi Forest
 
  • Spend a full day birding in Bwindi’s lush montane forest, searching for rare species like the African Green Broadbill, Ruwenzori Batis, Handsome Francolin, and Dusky Crimsonwing.
    Overnight: Bwindi
Day 8: Return to Entebbe & Departure
 
  • After breakfast, begin your return journey to Entebbe with scenic stops along the way. Depending on your flight time, optional stop at the Equator for photos and souvenirs.
    Drop-off: Entebbe International Airport or hotel.
